Final performance, Daniel Domb on Cello

About this event :

We have been very fortunate to have the esteemed Daniel Domb and Carey Domb perform here for the past nine years to the great delight of our residents. Daniel has performed internationally over the years “with some of the great orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony with Seiji Ozawa, the Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler, The National Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra. He also gave recitals in New York’s Carnegie Hall and Town Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, London’s Wigmore Hall and many other venues throughout Europe and North America.  Daniel completed a bachelor and master degree from Juilliard and became a professor at the Oberlin Conservatory at the age of 22. He later served as principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra for two years under Lorin Maazel and then accepted the position of principal Cellist of the Toronto Symphony, which he held until 2000.”  …

On Tuesday, May 28, the Dombs will perform a short concert before we honour them with a reception to say thank you before they leave for their new home on the east coast. It will be a bittersweet moment here at The Russell Hill
